Concentration.........
Kendal was painting this morning and I couldn't resist this snapshot. She was concentrating so hard on making the perfect picture for mommy!!

You have been gone one year

Grandmas Chair
Grandma's chair is old and worn
It has been through death and seen new ones born
She kept warm with her love
and still does from high above.
A year has gone by without her here,
but her memories still, we all hold so dear.
Often I thought how we would make it,
after she left us to go upstairs and sit.
But I now know family bonds just grow stronger,
and the times between visits grow shorter not longer.
Grandma's chair never sits alone,
the love that has grown in it, every day is shown.

Rock Star
Daddy was cleaning the house up a little bit the other day and had Kid Rock (Very loud) playing. Kendal loves him and decided she needed to be a rock star like Kid Rock!

Sledding Fun
We went sledding today! Kendal even went down all by herself, she said "it wasn't so scary mommy!" It was a perfect day.... nice light snow falling and not to cold!
Beautiful "frostette"
Kendal and mommy made a snowman last weekend. She named her frosty at first, but decided to have it be a girl snowman so daddy said "frostette". Kendal laughed when I put licorice on her as her mouth. I however had forgotten how much work it is to build a snowman! I was sweating and pretty much out of breath......Do I need to start exercising?

Her hand at Bowling
Kendal got to try h er hand at bowling a few weekends back. She did great scoring a 67!!! she would run up to the edge of the lane, drop to her knees and push the ball. Only once did we have to call for the guy to get her ball, as it stopped in the middle of the lane!

My little Artist
Kendal wanted to draw today and asked me what she should make. I told her to draw a picture of mom. When she was done drawing she said "Mommy how do you spell mom?" I told her and she wrote it. I was shocked!!!!

Kendal got a phone call from Princess Ariel on the day of her birthday party. She wished her a happy third birthday! Kendal was very excited!
Super Mom
When all the boys dress up like "superheros" she dressed up like "supermom". Is that what they look like?

Kendal put this hat on at daycare and tod me she was a fisher golfer girl.
Fun in the Tub!!!
Kendal loves her bath nights....it is a battle every time to get her out. She lays down in the water now until all the water has drained out, then cries because she is cold, but still has to be dragged out!!
Parade of Lights
New Ulm has it's own little parade of lights every year the day after Thanksgiving. Kendal waved to all the people in it and wished them all a Merry Christmas as well. She was very excited about all the horses, lights, and snowmen. But when Santa came along at the end of the Parade she squealed with delight!
Happy Thanksgiving!!
Kendal, Megan, and Emily had a GREAT time together on Thanksgiving. They don't get together as often as we would like, but when they do, it is so fun to watch!
I am almost THREE!!!!
Grandma and mommy tried a photo shoot to try and save money for kendal's tree year pictures. She wasn't the most cooporative, but we managed to get one or two good shots.She wanted to wear daddy's hat in one of her pictures!

Buttered Corn Days in Sleepy Eye

We went to Sleepy Eye with Grandma and Grandpa friday Aug 17th. Kendal loves sweet Corn!!!! She rode on Ponies, on a train, swang on the sings and ate LOTS of corn. Oh and she danced with Grandpa "egg"!

A day at the Children's Hospital

We spent last Friday (August 10th) at the Chidren's hospital getting some testing done on Kendal. She was very excited to see that Snoopy was there! She also spent alot of "waiting" time looking at the "beautiful ladies" out the window. The ladies actually were statues of kids in a water fountain.

Kendal decided that she needed a "little of mommy's make-up" to go visit grandma Ruth in the Hospital. She liked the lipstick the best....can you tell? She also had pretty green eyes like mommy!
Fourth of July
We were lucky enough to spend the fourth of July with grandma and grandpa, Auntie Mary Jo and Uncle john in St. Peter. Kendal loved the parade, but had Auntie Mary Jo cover her ears when the firetrucks went by. She danced, rode ponies and fed baby goats. She was a trooper!
A day at the "Beach"
With the weather being so hot, Kendal and Mom decided to head to the beach,(flandrau State park) in New Ulm. Kendal had lots of fun digging in the sand, making castles, and "getting mommy all wet"!
Little Fisher Girl
Kendal went on her first fishing trip today. We went to the river in New Ulm, with some of her friends. We didn't catch anything, but had a great time.

Kendal at School
Kendal LOVES to go to School (ECFE). Here she is playing with playdough. Her favorite part was circle time, she loves to sing and dance.
Down on Grandpa's Farm
Kendal loves to go to grandma and grandpas farm. She helps grandpa with all the chores. She is looking forward to planting her own little garden right next to grandma's!!
Lizzy
Meet the newest member of the Conrad family!! Lizzy is a 2 year old cocker spaniel we adopted from the humane society. She loves Kendal and even sleeps with her at night!!! It took her awhile to get used to us but has adjusted well. I only wish Bailey would take a few lessons from her.
Friends
Kendal, Anton, and Ella enjoyed an afternoon at the park. Their favorite part was the "steep slide" as they all called it. It is always fun to watch them play together.
Imangination at work
So nobody can ever say that Kendal is lacking in imagination. Meet her "family".....The Prego is the grandfather, The homemade salsa is grandmother, Daddy is the soy sauce and I am the peaches. She played with her "family" for almost an hour. She even went and got a ball to play "basketball" with them all!!!
